Moore's Piggly Wiggly:
TJ and Candace Moore, owners of Moore's Piggly Wiggly, along with Jessi and their entire crew, have been true blessings to Wirt County. There are too many ways to list how Moore's Piggly Wiggly is helping to shape the new face of our community. Brenda Evans:
Brenda is the current president of the Wirt County Fair Association where she has volunteered as a board member and active planner for many years. She puts a lot of time and energy into bringing new events to the County Fair each year.
Nicky Hall:
Nicky is a long-time volunteer with the Wirt County Fair Association. She and her family cared for the track events for many years and now they maintain the admission gate which is a huge job! Nicky enjoys fundraising and supporting local civic groups.
Hunter Parsons:
Hunter and his wife Ashley are being nominated for their many hours devoted into building the youth sports programs in Wirt County, along with the countless other ways they are contributing to the development of the youth in the community. Their dedication to the softball program has helped to build strong teams and solid friendships and we look forward to watching their program con
Elizabeth Adams:
Elizabeth dedicates most of her free time in the summer to developing our youth agriculture programs. She has been instrumental in the Livestock Show and Sale each year at the Wirt County Fair, among her many, many other roles and responsibilities. She is always willing to dive in to solve a problem and never stops pushing the people in her care to be the best they can be.
Austin Grimmett:
A Wirt County native, Austin understands the importance of volunteerism and community. He is being nominated for this recognition for the countless times he has chosen to do far more than just "his part" for the people of Wirt County.
Deana Persinger:
Deana may be young, but she certainly knows the value of service and the importance of community. Earlier this year, she organized a school-wide donation drive for House to Home in Parkersburg. She works very hard at everything she attempts and never settles for less than her best effort! Deana is very active in her school and her community!
Kenny Wayne Pettry:
Kenny Wayne is always helping with most of the functions in town or supporting them. He is always happy to help. Kenny is a volunteer firefighter with the Elizabeth/Wirt Volunteer Fire Department and is a dedicated first-responder. He's reliable, hard-working, and committed.
Sara Clark:
Sara has been instrumental in developing the annual Community Easter Egg Hunt at Sportsman's Park. She volunteers countless hours to the Town of Elizabeth and surrounding communities. Sara is consistent, an extremely hard-worker, and always willing to pitch in where needed.
Sandy Koncir:
Sandy is being nominated for her countless volunteer hours within our community through her work with the Catholic Charities program. She creates hand-crafted items to share with community members in need such as blankets, baskets, and other items. Sandy has been actively serving Wirt County for many years and her dedication is greatly valued.
Melissa Settle:
Melissa is constantly giving back to the people of Wirt County. Whether it is through her dedication to 4H, through the Elizabeth-Wirt Volunteer Fire Department, the Wirt County Fair, Camp Barbe, her church, or through her daily acts of service, Melissa is making a difference in the lives of so many! She has a giving heart, is a hard worker, and is deeply invested in the good of the
Cherokee Wilkey:
Cherokee volunteers most of her free time with the Elizabeth-Wirt Volunteer Fire Department. Former military, she understands the importance of a strong community and she values her role as a first responder. If there is a community event, Cherokee can be found supporting the cause. She is also active in her church as well as her children's activities!
